Hi, I'm Tasha and boy was I glad to see my new family at Adopt a Husky. I was found by a good samaritan who brought me to the shelter. When I was found, I had an old collar with three different chains attached. I either broke free or someone dumped me at the construction site.

I am terrified of people right now but my foster mom and dad are working with me on that. I was so underweight when I was first rescued that you could literally see all the bones in my skinny body, I only weighed 45 pounds which is very underweight for my size. I've been putting on weight at record speed in my new loving foster home with regular feedings and lots of encouragement. They say I'm very smart and that I absolutely love getting belly pets. I never knew life could be this good - food AND love! I struck gold with my foster family and am looking for a forever family to treat me just as good as they do.

I'll be ready for adoption sometime after January 09 and until then, we will concentrate on getting stronger and overcoming any residual illnesses I've got right now. I'm going to be a great addition to a loving and patient family preferably without children under 8 years old (since I'm skittish and easily scared).
