What a joy it is to have CoCo in our family. After losing our 14 yr. old husky, White Sox, we needed someone to fill the void. We found "Cookie" on your website in March and her picture just spoke to us. Although there were many puppies listed, we really wanted an older dog. Lacey brought CoCo to our house to meet us. She was very friendly and energetic, and loved on everyone! We had been told she had separation anxiety. The vet later told us it was due to having been neglected and left alone for periods of time. With much patience, love and attention from all of us, she has adjusted beautifully. With everyone in and out daily, she realizes that we are not leaving her. She still has a problem if someone is not home at the "witching hours" before dinner, but she has done extremely well during the earlier part of the day.
We are so thrilled to have her with us. CoCo is a quirky soul with lots of character and a free spirit. She has found her favorite places to snooze, mainly under our daughter's bed. We walk in the morning and she runs out in front of Tom's bike at night as if pulling a sled. Boy...can she run!! CoCo races around the yard, over the jasmine, through the bushes, across the deck, bounding over pots of flowers. She desperately wants our daughter's puppy to chase her as fast as he can when he comes to visit, something he is trying to learn. And although she has spent time in homes with other dogs, she had adapted very well to being the only princess. As with most Huskies, there is no such thing as a stranger. She greets everyone she meets with excitement and kisses. CoCo loves to ride in the car when she gets the chance, and behaves beautifully when she does. She loves to chase anything that moves, be it animal or leaf, but when it is time to settle down, she is right next there next to you. CoCo loves to spend time with us, as we do with her. She really is now a member of a family and she knows it.
Thank you Adopt-a-Husky for allowing us to be here for her. She will grow old along with us.
